Release notes
Everything in the beta.
The desks
Wire. Every report on Apple, grouped into one story as it spreads, with whoever had it first on top. Filter to reports and rumors, or only what Apple said on the record.
Scoops. Who broke each story and how long everyone else took to follow, across a year of coverage, with each outlet’s record.
Backend. Changes on Apple’s servers and pages, to the second, in plain words. Search the whole log and export it as a spreadsheet.
Markets. Apple beside the companies that build its products, with the news that moved them. Set an alert in a sentence.
From Apple, Events, Calendar, Software, Status and Records. Everything Apple publishes and files, each on its own desk.
Your own newsrooms. Build one by hand, or describe it and let Apple Intelligence lay it out.
Working with a story
Trace. Paste any article’s link and see who reported it first, two steps back through its sources.
Compare coverage. Every outlet’s version side by side, with who said what, when and how firmly.
Clippings. Save quotes into projects with your notes, and copy a citation as a sentence or a Markdown link.
On your Mac
Headlines in the menu bar, widgets on the desktop, and alerts only for what you choose.

New builds download quietly and install the next time you quit. The sidebar offers a restart if you can’t wait, and the first launch after shows what changed.
Feedback in two clicks.
Send Feedback sits at the bottom of the sidebar, or press ⇧⌘’. It carries the app and macOS versions and your Mac’s model, and a picture of the window only if you leave the box ticked.
Good to know
- The first time you open Scoops, it reads a year of coverage. Races fill in over the first few minutes.
- Building newsrooms, briefs and link tracing need Apple Intelligence turned on.
- Syncing with iPhone needs the same Apple Account signed in to iCloud on both.
